Esther is an experienced physiotherapist who graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2009 and thereafter obtained her working experience with one of Singapore largest teaching hospitals. With an increased passion in her field she furthered her studies and obtained her Masters in Neurological Physiotherapy from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Currently registered with AHPC, she has collectively seven years of rehabilitation experience.
Esther clinical experience includes working in a challenging and fast moving acute care setting. Whilst her rehabilitation experience include in the area of neurology, geriatrics, orthopaedics and cardiopulmonary, having treated a variety of acute and chronic disorders. Her past experience as one of the Senior Physiotherapists in Neurology team, included her attending to neurology patients in the acute stroke units, assessing of geriatric patients in the emergency department, home physiotherapy with the Post-Acute Care at Home team.
As part of her Master’s programme, Esther has presented a couple of papers, one of which she was the co-publishers for the paper entitled; Reliability and validity of step test scores in subjects with chronic stroke. Alongside her passion in her work as a physiotherapist, she was also actively involved with the tertiary institution; Nanyang Polytechnic, where she was a part time clinical educator; on an ad hoc basis, assist and supervising physiotherapy students who are out for clinical placement
In February 2014, Esther joined Care Visions Singapore as a full time physiotherapist providing home rehabilitation. With her on- going commitment in delivering the person centred care to the patients, coupled with her dedication in supporting her peers, she was promoted as the lead physiotherapist. Esther has great interest in home care physiotherapy, as she has immense satisfaction from seeing the progress of patients improving and recovering through the process of rehabilitation at the comfort of their own homes. Esther strives to maintain and exceeds patients’ satisfaction at all times and have also instilled this positive attitude among her peers. Esther stays up-to-date with the latest trends and practices in physiotherapy and she is also an active participant as a certified Care Giver Trainer through collaboration with the AIC; Agency for Integrated Care. Combined with her strong clinical experience, Esther endeavours to deliver her skills to best assist both patients and their caregivers to achieve their goals.
